I'm returning to my normal sleeping rhythm now, after turning the clock back and the slight disturbance of the ToK cruise - or, as we say to our teachers&parents, the Theory of Knowledge Seminar.
The cruise was great fun, though. Some highlights:
- My high school's debate team won the debate competition. Screw u, SYK team (and especially JK)
- Tax-free shopping - need I say more? I spent about 100e on makeup, alcoholic beverages and chocolate. I love my new LancĂ´me lip gloss. And Estonian cranberry vodka.
- Our cabin hadn't been properly cleaned. Seriously, I don't want to know what the dodgy-looking substance on my friend's bed was. Not to mention the full trash can or dirty shower curtains. So, we complained to the reception - and got free drink coupons! Complaining is definitely worth it <3
- I will never ever go on a cruise in a B-cabin. This was the first and last time ever. Hello-o, it didn't even have a blow dryer, for crying out loud. How sad is that? Or maybe it's just me.
- Karaoke.
- A friend of mine (guy) got totally wasted. We were all like "Whoa". It wasn't something we would have expected from him. It was quite a job getting him back to the cabin. Seriously. It must have taken an hour. And I must say I've never seen anyone crawl that quickly. Maybe drinkind 0.5 bottles of red wine, a beer, 2 gins and about 5 drinks (sex on the beach etc.) actually improves athletic performance. Who'd have guessed?
- On the other hand, I wasn't drunk. I remember every single thing I did on Sunday night and Monday morning. And I didn't suffer from hangover. Then again, I didn't drink that much (a small bottle of champagne, cranberry vodka from Estonia and a Marianne drink). But at least I ate dinner.
- I had no clue I was this popular among guys. Seriously. I've never turned down this many guys in one night. *counts with fingers* Haha. But I must say two of them were especially pathetic. Namely,
- 1. The guy who had his friend (a girl with rather long and pointed fingernails, which left a nasty cut on my hand) literally drag me to him. Boo. I shoved the girl away, after she explained that her friend wanted to speak to me "in private". Needless to say, I didn't bother. (He was clearly a coward and he wasn't even good-looking). I'm a bit picky, I guess.
- 2. Then the stalker guy. Whoa. I so wanted to kill him, but I'm pretty sure it would have been illegal, even though rather fair in the situation. Die, stalker, die. I hope you fell off the deck. Would serve you right for feeling my ass. Thanks to my "bodyguards" E, E, N, A, M, U and S for helping me out<3.
- I ended sleeping 4 hours. 2 hours between 4pm and 6 pm when I was bored and me and my roommates wanted to have more energy for the night (besides, the restaurants & tax free were closed anyhow), and 2 hours on the bus back to Helsinki.
- Was great fun<3
Random notices:
- My Extended Essay and World Lit analysis essay are done. No more jellyfish, A Handmaid's tale or Woman at point zero. Ever. Success!
- The TV program was a great success. Love me, Ivy League...
- My GPA is now 6.8 on the IB scale. Score.
- I'm taking the SAT II on saturday. Boo. No fun. Although the math 2, bio and chem seemed like a joke.
- More dieting. For the next 4 days. And weeks. And months. (No, I didn't hear any coughing)
- My dad got invited to Stocka's super buyer night - discount on everything and free buffet. My parents didn't seem too keen on going there, so I'm going instead. Shop-a-holic at your service.
- Physics HL was cancelled today. Whoa, big news. About every second HL physics lesson is cancelled.
